Hello!
I'm a game and web developer (also a graphic designer). So far I was a person who did my own work independently, but I belive that a group of creative people can achieve so much more thanks to the effect of synergy.
Beside this, working with different people with different skillsets and different tastes will help me to unleashed my creativity further then working alone.
So without further ado, I’m open for the new job/experience and I’m looking forward to becoming a valuable member of (I hope) your team!
Privately I’m a husband and proud father of an amazing daughter (who is almost 4 years old) and little boy (who is arriving to us in August 2017) and that functions and responsibilities are taking almost every minute of my free time.
I wrote "almost" because I have also a very long list of hobbies/interests: pyrography, archery, fish-keeping, calligraphy and brewing are probably the most unique, but... I like also creating custom t-shirts and cooking.
I love working in my cave fueled by pizza and energy drinks but I also love connecting with my "inner caveman" while fishing, hiking and wandering with my daughter for entire day in the nearest park or forest. Thanks to these almost countless interests I'm almost always connecting with people easily.
I wouldn't be applying for position in gamedev branch if I wouldn't love one thing: games. My favorite genres are: RPGs, adventures, economy simulators and strategies. I'm gamer since I remember. What does it exactly mean you could ask?
I remember dark nights with Wolfenstein 3D my dad used to play. I remember Doom 1, 2, adventures of Putt Putt (little violet car), Warcraft 1 (first game I was saving my money for) and 2 (the real one not that MMO stuff that came later), Heretic, Hexen, Duke Nukem 3D, Total Annihilation, Knights and Merchants, Polanie,
and much, much more... Of course my love for games is not reserved only for "oldies". I'm vigirous player :
Astats,
AchievementsStats. But I have also strong roots in "classics" - board games (feel free to check my
BoardGameGeek profile) and pen and paper RPGs are what makes me well suited for game design job, because boardgames and RPGs gave me
ability to learn gaming mechanics in their purest form.
The only list longer than list of games I've been playing and achievemens I've got is the list of books I've read. Mostly fantasy, but also plenty of drama, comedy, westerns, horror, crime... you name it. Only Harlequins were never touched.
Well, so much for brief about me. I hope we’ll meet soon and we’ll have opportunity to exchange experiences related to game development issues!
PS. Also worth of mentioning is that I'm on Goggle Play a 27th level pirate ;)
